Pennyroyal, a member of the mint family, is a fragrant ground cover with a long history of use in traditional medicine and as an insect repellent. Growing to about 6-12 inches tall, this spreading perennial features small, aromatic leaves and delicate purple flowers that bloom in summer. Its strong minty scent is known to deter pests, making it a valuable addition to your garden or herb collection.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
For best results, start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Sow seeds on the surface of the soil and lightly press them in, as they need light to germinate. Keep the soil moist but not soggy and provide them with plenty of bright, indirect light. After the last frost, transplant seedlings outdoors, spacing them 12-18 inches apart in full sun to partial shade. Pennyroyal prefers well-draining soil and moderate watering.
